Show Me The Money Christian City Church

Found this interesting video from CNN on a USA Senate board report being conducted into TV evangelists and the outrageous lifestyles they live. To name a few of their greedy acquisitions:

$23,000US Toilet
Rolls Royce Cars
$2,000US suits (Armani no doubt)
Air crafts
Multi Million dollar mansions

Of course don't quote me on this, I could be wrong :p But Pastor Phil Pringle the founder of Christian City Church is supposed to own a Ferrari; lives in a Multi Million dollar home and has an estimated worth of over $50 Million dollars.

Build For Life with Pastor Peter Mchugh

The acronym for the Build For Life is BFL. It's a program run by Christian City Church, which once you strip away the pretty pictures should come as no surprise that it focuses around money. It's been a while since I post the Christian City Church The Dirty Facts, but I just happen to check out my stats and in doing so was brought to the video BFL Peter McHugh week3, as can bee viewed below.

Well as I had some spare time I thought I'd take note of everything Patsor Peter McHugh spoke of in his Build For Life Week3 Video.

Here is the Week3 Build For Life Peter Mchugh sermon:

Hey welcome to week 3 of Build For Life. This week we’re going to be focusing on purpose.

You know when we gave our lives to Jesus there was some incredibly profound things that took place. One of them is that we actually made a decision, most of us unconsciously, but we did make the decision that our life was no longer our own. But it actually belonged to God.

We were actually returning to him what he'd already given to us. Because he's our creator. We were bringing his creation our body, our hearts, our minds, our soul, everything about us back him and saying Lord I’m now back in relationship with you.

And I’m really interested Lord in knowing how you want me use what you’ve given me to bring glory and honour to you.

As we think about purpose this week, as we meditate in the scriptures that are in the pray journal, as we consider our lives, the core thought in here is who’s life is it anyway?

Is it my life?
Are they my gifts?
Is it my money?
Is it my family?
Or am I really a steward of things that God has given me to look after?
Am I an owner or am I a steward?
Am I making decision about something that is mine or am I seeking advice about something that belongs to another?

(At 1 minute and 30 seconds a picture of a Hammer poised above a white piggy bank fades into the BFL Peter McHugh week3 sermon. From this point onwards it about your YOUR MONEY and YOUR FINANCES and NOT about PURPOSE as Pastor Peter McHugh told you 1 minute and 30 seconds prevoiusly. Why does this NOT surprise me!)

(Picture fades in that has 4 large $ signs, 3 @ signs and the white piggy bank faded in the forefront.)

If I am a manager, if I am a steward, then I recognise I have a master, and I recognise there is somebody who actually owns what I have been given to look after, and as an owner they will have a point of view. They will have an interest in what it is I’m actually going to be doing with what I have been given.

And so we’ve been given many things by God.
We’ve been given talents.
We’ve been given ability.
We’ve been given time.
We’ve been given friends.
We’ve been given an intellect.
We’ve been given strength in our physical body.
All sorts of things we’ve been given.
One of things we’ve also been given is material wealth. We’ve been given money!

(At 2 minutes and 7 seconds money notes and coins fade into picture. This then become the backdrop of which Pastor Peter Mchugh continues his sermon. Which is supposed to be on PURPOSE.

It really is nothing more than in my opinion, a typical Pastor Peter McHugh BRAINWASHING EXERCISE to get YOU to GIVE Christian City Church Rooks Road Vermount more MONEY.
)

So God has a plan for the earth. He want heaven to invade earth. He wants the culture of the earth to reflect earth.

And he’s asking us to join with him.

He’s asking us to take what we’ve have been given and yield it to him in such a way that he can direct, he can guide, he can inspire, he can empower, the very things that he is wanting to achieve through our lives.

So build for life is a focus on that financial piece of our wealth.

Build For Life is looking at how we actually surrender our financial capacity to the Lord.

That we looking to actually shift up maybe in an area were we have held back.

We’re looking to shift our desire, our purpose, our commitment, our understanding even of what money actually means to us and how it is that it serves God.

The provision of these facilities has required people in the past to contribute millions of dollars to get us to this point.

And as we’re considering our financial commitments to Build For Life, we must remember that Jesus understands that this is a challenging question for us.

He made the observation that man can not serve God and Money.

He realises that we have an incredible strong attachment to Money.

And so in the Build for Life season, it’s actually a really good time to focus on that attachment and try and understand how we can lessen it’s attachment to our hearts, to our beliefs about what our future is going to look like.

So I want to encourage you this week to think about the fact that you are a steward not an owner.

I want you to be able to pray into this attachment you may have with your finances and ask the Lord to help you come to a place where you are at peace and at rest at what your doing financially.

God bless you thank you so much for continuing to come on this journey with us. I’ll look forward to seeing you next week.

Oh Peter Mchugh based on your words - "We were bringing his creation our body, our hearts, our minds, our soul, everything about us back him and saying Lord I’m now back in relationship with you. And I’m really interested Lord in knowing how you want me use what you’ve given me to bring glory and honour to you."

Nothing very honourable or glorifying about taking advantage of someone.

Especially when that person was scammed by your BOGUS WELFARE WORKER at Christian City Care for over 48,000AUD.
